succumbing to moss
colourful
a kaleidoscope
to laugh, love, lose and linger –
its all just a game
mind games
great expectations
wreak havoc in the unknown
a test of patience

silken threads of smoke
float merrily overhead
through murky canals
mountain
glowing mountainside
looms over me tall and lush
revealing little
pursuit
so casually
breathtaking; a flick of hair
from worlds far apart
coyly she does smile
electric, enigmatic
tugging at my heart
a shallow giggle
disproportionate courage
lofty endeavours

Houses bent sideways
atop sinking foundations
being swallowed whole

slowly the water
envelopes antique beauty
even the fish flee
flames
Emaciated
silhouettes of souls long lost
burnt from history
Such magnificent
resonance chimes from the bell
remembering hell
Charred black from great flame
Its grandeur grows yet greater
risen from ashes
